tips below on navigating your first class

IF YOU'RE NEW TO WORKING OUT

good news: most of our first-timers have never taken a boxing class and we'd say about 95% haven't been working out in the past year or longer.  

 

though it takes  few classes to adjust to the workout, clients notice a huge difference in how they look and feel after just a few sessions. 

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

1. book your class

find one on the schedule. fyi, you'll need wraps for studio sessions. bring your own or purchase a pair before class starts.

2. fuel & hydrate!

a light snack with a mix of carbs and protein 2-3 hours before class should do the trick. be sure to drink plenty of water so you're well-hydrated.

3. arrive early

if it's your first visit be sure to arrive 10 minutes early to settle in and have your hands wrapped.

THE WORKOUT

perfect elixir of adrenaline, grit & sweat

warm-up

we'll activate the body with intentional, dynamic movements.

skills & conditioning

the bulk of the workout will include learning combos and skills of the day, several rounds on the heavybag, and a conditioning series to round everything out (think abs, back, legs/butt).

cool-down

 

we'll end class with a revitalizing stretch.

WHAT'S NEXT

take in all that effort
